I first met Tim with Miranda and Rob on the full moon of February 2006 at the Raven Public House. I was seeking out Tim in order to request his support for a public campaign calling for the reburial of our ancestors at Avebury, Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Stoney Littleton and Wookey Hole Caves.
After much thought, we decided to focus our energies upon Avebury. I invited Tim to my narrowboat where we planned a March meeting on the full moon to discuss reburial with other interested parties.
After these initial meetings, we met around each full moon in April, June and July. All were on or near the 13th. At the Secular Order of Druids hosting of the COBDO meeting in June Tim supported my request to be nominated Reburial Officer to the Council. Thus began our short friendship and thecampaign for reburial. One year later, a boat from Avalon arrived, and Tim passed into a new world of light, strength and love.
On the full moon of 1st of February 2007 at 8pm, as I sat on my narrowboat, a beautiful spirit came to visit me. Instinctively, I saluted and intoned the Druidic Awen /|\. At 8.15pm Denny sent a sad text telling me of Tim’s death.
The same evening, I walked into Bath and sat by Pultney Weir, made myself a roll-up and thought of Tim. Later, I walked up to The Circus, sat with the magnificent trees, offered a prayer and wept rainbow tears upon the dark earth. At the Raven, where we had first met, I saluted Tim in time honoured tradition of the Green Man and, standing on the spot we first spoke, toasted his new health.
As both Druid and activist, Tim supported and empowered me, and in the same way, I will go on to support and empower other Druids.
It is time to bury our dead. Blessed be our new ancestor.
